Thanks Sheryl, Deborah and J.G… So pleased to have friends “from over the seas” enjoying our/ my Aussie sense of humour. One of the things I love is that many of us don’t take ourselves too seriously and have lots of fun laughing about some of our rather odd behaviours/ eccentricities 😀 Cheerio for now, Catherine.
Before Australia Day 2014 comes to an end I just have to share my post from 2013. For me, being Australian is being able to “take the piss” out of ourselves and not take ourselves too seriously.
Thanks Diane… it was delightful indeed. Hope it was good for you and your loved ones too. Terrific to get your comment and I’m so pleased you’re back blogging again. I missed you… 😥 Cheerio for now.
Great fun. Few people can ‘extract the urine’ from themselves like the Aussies.I’m delighted we in the UK still have such a connection with someone who still shares the anachronisms of the English language and spelling like you do.

HA HA HA… Love your “turn of phrase” Lord Prosser. I think you’ll enjoy this sense of fun and good old display of Ozzie larrikinism I just posted to my South Australian facebook page. Here’s the link and just look out for the vids on the famous train “the Ghan”… https://www.facebook.com/southaustraliamatters Cheerio for now… xxx
