Hot cross buns!
Hot cross buns!
One a penny, two a penny,
Hot Cross buns!
Hot cross buns!
Hot Cross buns!
If you have no daughters,
Give them to your sons!
One a penny two a penny,
Hot Cross buns!
Hot cross buns!
Hot cross buns!
If you haven’t got a penny
A ha’penny will do.
If you haven’t got a ha’penny,
Then God bless you.

This familiar old nursery rhyme comes from the call of the street vendors who sold them.
I haven’t given a thought to this rhyme in donkey’s years…thanks for jogging my memory. I had a hot cross bun the other day, and regretted it as I now have allergies…so no more for me this year.
That’s such a shame Pauline 😦 … hope you’ve recovered. I’m enjoying your A-Z blogs very much, thanks!!!
